We'll start with our investigators. We've got two people were closer baptism, Peter and Chichi. Peter has already passed his interview and Chichi is tomorrow. We are very, very excited about them both. I had a special experience teaching Peter the other day. We were brushing up on the plan off salvation and discussing the Atonement of Christ. We pulled out the Bible videos to watch one about Christ in the Garden. During the video, the Savior begins to cry. Our investigator asked, 耶稣为什么在哭? Why is Jesus crying? To which my companion responded, 他承担了所有人的痛苦。He has taken upon himself the suffering of all mankind. In that moment, I felt it. The Spirit settled on me and confirmed the truth of that evening in Gethsemane. How grateful I am to be here and serving, able to witness of the Savior each and every day.
Alright, investigator hasn't shown up yet. Important things are out of the way. Let's move on.
Let's talk about my companion for a moment. Elder Zhao, as you may have seen from last week's pictures, has an obsession with slurpees. He is rarely without one. We were GQing the other day in the middle of a rainstorm. It was frigid cold and we were out for several hours. We were on our way back when he asked, Hey, can I get a slurpee? I still question his sanity, but he got one. Good fun. We bought a whole chicken today because he wanted to and it for lunch.
时间到了, gotta run. Always more lessons to teach. I love being here, teaching and serving. Nothing better than being a missionary. Have a great week, everyone, and best of luck to all of the missionaries heading out in the next couple weeks.
